Prospect Update: Wall Advances to Regional Final

Plus CHL Playoff Updates and Ronning Nets First in the NHL

Goaltending prospect Tyler Wall made 19 saves in a 5-0 shutout win for UMass Lowell over Cornell in the NCAA Northeast Regional Semifinal Saturday afternoon. The River Hawks advanced to the regional final for the seventh time in the program's history.

Wall's 26th win of the season puts him first in the nation among rookie netminders. The 2016 sixth round pick is 26-9-1 overall this season.

Forward Gabriel Fontaine picked up a goal in Rouyn-Noranda's 3-2 win over Halifax is Game 2 of their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League opening-round series. The series is even at a game each.

Ryan Gropp had an assist in Seattle's 5-2 win over Tri-City to take a 2-0 lead in their opening-round series in the Western Hockey League. Gropp has a goal and an assist through the two games.

Defenseman Sergey Zborovskiy had an assist and was the named the game's third star as Regina topped Calgary 5-1 to take a 2-0 advantage in their series.

Forward Marek Hrivik had three assists for the Wolf Pack Saturday in a 4-3 win over Bridgeport. Ty Ronning scored his first goal in the American Hockey League and Ryan Graves added another. Mackenzie Skapski made 27 saves in the win.
