Prospect Update: Shesterkin Adds Another Shutout

Plus Updates on Gropp, Hartford and More

Rangers goaltending prospect Igor Shesterkin kept rolling Friday for SKA in the Kontinental Hockey League, stopping all 20 shots he saw in a 4-0 win over Vityaz.

The 2014 fourth-round pick is now 15-1-2 on the season with a 1.41 GAA and a .945 SV% with seven shutouts. He has not lost a game in regulation since Sept. 9, a stretch of 16 games.

Over in the Western Hockey League, Ryan Gropp registered an assist in Seattle's 3-1 loss to the Calgary Hitmen. The assist extended Gropp's point streak to seven and he has two goals and seven assists in 10 games with the Thunderbirds this season.

The Hartford Wolf Pack were defeated, 5-2, Friday night against the Rochester Americans. Marek Hrivik scored his fifth goal of the season and Nicklas Jensen, Cristoval Nieves and Michael Paliotta had assists. Brandon Halverson made 14 saves in his American Hockey League debut.
