Prospect Update: Halverson Picks Up Win for Wolf Pack

Plus updates on Gropp, Ronning, Fontaine and Wall

Goaltender Brandon Halverson made 33 saves in Hartford's 4-3 win over Utica Friday night in the American Hockey League.

The 2014 second round pick has won two games in a row and is 6-8-0-0 with the Wolf Pack in his first season of professional hockey.

Nicklas Jensen scored his 20th goal of the season while Marek Hrivik and John Gilmour each had three assists in the win.

Over in the Western Hockey League, forward Ryan Gropp scored a goal to extend his point streak to seven games in Seattle's 3-2 shootout win over Kamloops. The 2015 second round pick has three goals and 12 points during the streak. Gropp has 14 goals and 28 assists for 42 points in 44 games this season for the Thunderbirds.

Ty Ronning scored a goal in Vancouver's 4-3 overtime loss to Calgary. The seventh round pick from last year's draft has 20 goals and 22 assists for 42 points in 48 games for the Giants.

Forward Gabriel Fontaine scored the game-winning goal in Rouyn-Noranda's 5-2 win over Baie-Comeau in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Friday night. Fontaine has 10 goals in his last 12 games and has 19 goals and 41 points in 43 games overall for the Huskies.

Goaltender Tyler Wall made 20 saves for UMass Lowell in its 6-4 win over Northeastern in Hockey East. The freshman is 15-8-1 with a 2.23 GAA and a .914 SV% in 24 games this season.
