Prospect Update: Gropp Opens Playoffs With Goal

Ryan Gropp registered a power play goal in Seattle's Game 1 win over Tri-City in the first round of the Western Hockey League playoffs. The 2015 second round pick set career-highs with 35 goals, 49 assists and 84 points this past season with the Thunderbirds, and now has 22 points in 27 playoff games in his WHL career.

Defenseman Sean Day had an assist as Windsor edged London in their opening game of the first round of the Ontario Hockey League postseason. Day was a plus-3 and had seven shots on goal in the contest.

Forward Ty Ronning had an assist in his first game with the Hartford Wolf Pack after signing an amateur tryout agreement with the team on Thursday. Taylor Beck scored and Dan Catenacci had an assist in the 3-1 loss to Providence that saw goaltender Magnus Hellberg make a season-high 46 saves.
