Prospect Update: Gettinger With 3 Points for SSM

Plus Updates on Fontaine, Shesterkin and more

Tim Gettinger had two goals - including the game-winner - and added an assist for Sault Ste. Marie, who disposed of the Flint Firebirds in five games in their first-round meeting in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.

The 2016 fifth-round pick has three goals and two assists through five games with the Greyhounds.

Center Gabriel Fontaine had a goal and an assist of his own in a 3-2 Rouyn-Noranda win over Halifax in Game 5 of their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League opening-round series. The Huskies lead Halifax, 3-2, while Fontaine has two goals and two assists in the first five games.

Nicklas Jensen had a goal and an assist while Magnus Hellberg made 20 saves in a 3-0 win for Hartford over Hershey Friday night. John Gilmour had a goal and Adam Tambellini added an assist. 

New signings Vince Pedrie and Vinni Lettieri were both in the lineup while goaltender Chris Nell served as the backup. 

Goaltender Igor Shesterkin earned three wins for SKA against Lokomotiv to advanced to the KHL Championship round against Metallurg Mg. Shesterkin allowed just one goal and had a .985 SV% and a 0.55 GAA in the Conference Final victory.

The Greenville Swamp Rabbits punched their ticket to the ECHL playoffs Friday night with a 3-1 win over the Atlanta Gladiators. Mackenzie Skapski made 37 saves for his fifth straight victory.
