Prospect Update: Buchnevich With Two Goals for Pack

Plus Gropp Remains Hot, Wall Named Goaltender of the Month

Forward Pavel Buchnevich posted two goals - including the overtime-winner - and added an assist in Hartford's 4-3 win over Springfield Wednesday night in the American Hockey League. 

Buchnevich's winner came on the power play with 16.4 seconds remaining in overtime. He also assisted on Dan Catenacci's first goal as a member of the Wolf Pack, after the forward was acquired Tuesday from Buffalo.

Nicklas Jensen and Adam Tambellini had two assists each, while Brandon Halverson made 26 saves for the win.

Ryan Gropp continued his torrid stretch with two goals and an assist in Seattle's overtime loss to Kamloops in the Western Hockey League. The 2015 second round pick has points in 20 of his last 21 games, including 13 multi-point games. Gropp has 20 goals and 22 assists for 42 points since the stretch began on Jan. 21. Overall, Gropp has 31 goals and 43 assists for 74 points in 58 games with the Thunderbirds this season.

Rangers goaltending prospect Tyler Wall was named the Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for February. He went 7-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .915 SV% with UMass Lowell. Overall, the freshman is 21-8-1 with a 2.11 GAA and a .917 SV% with one shutout this season. The River Hawks earned a first round bye in the Hockey East Tournament. They begin play March 10.
