Greenville 1, Charlotte 4
The Charlotte Checkers finished up their season series against the Greenville Grrrowl Friday night, when they tamed the Grrrowl 4-1 in front of 5167 fans at Cricket Arena. Juris Stals netted a pair of goals (18th and 19th) to extend his streak to four games, while Dusty Jamieson stepped up and scored his 30th and 31st goals of the season in the win. On Saturday, the playoff-bound Checkers close out their regular season vs. South Carolina.

WHL Semifinals Bracket >>

Everett (Baranka) 2, Kootenay (Dawes) 4
Kootenay leads series, 1-0
Ivan Baranka got on the scoreboard but the Everett Silvertips came up short in their WHL Semifinals opener against sniper Nigel Dawes and the Kootenay Ice, 4-2, on Friday. The series continues at the Cranbrook Recreational Complex on Saturday.

Rouyn-Noranda leads series, 1-0
In Game One of their QMJHL Second Round series, Rouyn-Noranda skated past Bruce Graham and the Moncton Wildcats, 6-2, on Friday. Graham tallied his first goal of the playoffs in the loss. Game Two is set for Saturday, April 9.

Lewiston (Paiement) 3, Rimouski 6
Rimouski leads series, 1-0
Sidney Crsoby was only held to an assist, but his teammates stepped up in Rimouski's 6-3 win over the Lewiston MAINEiacs on Friday in Game One of their QMJHL Second Round series. Lewiston blueliner Jonathan Paiement picked up four penalty minutes in the loss. The two teams are back in action on Saturday in Rimouski.
