Kootenay wins series, 4-0
Nigel Dawes connected at 18:24 of overtime on Tuesday as the Kootenay Ice earned a 4-3 win, completing a four-game sweep over the Everett Silvertips in WHL Semifinals action. The Ice will head to the Western Conference Finals, where they await the winner of the xxxxxxx series. Dawes posted one goal and three assists in the four-game series, while Everett blueliner Ivan Baranka collected two goals and an assist over the span.

Medicine Hat (Psurny) 2, Prince Albert (Byers, Kozak) 7,
Medicine Hat leads series, 2-1
The host Prince Albert Raiders stopped the bleeding on Tuesday as they earned a convincing 7-2 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers in WHL Semifinals action. Medicine Hat leads the best-of-seven series 2-1, as the two teams prepare for Game Four on Wednesday, April 13. Prince Albert received a goal from Dane Byers (one goal, one assist in series) as well as an assist and 19 penalty minutes from Rick Kozak (one assist, 23 PIM in series) in the win. Tigers forward Roman Psurny (one assist, 10 PIM in series) posted eight penalty minutes in the loss.

Rouyn-Noranda leads series, 2-1
After suffering a 6-0 drubbing on Saturday, Rouyn-Noranda skated to a 4-2 win over the host Moncton Wildcats on Tuesday in Game Three of their QMJHL Second Round series. With the win, Rouyn-Noranda takes a 2-1 series lead, with Game Four slated for Wednesday, April 13 in Moncton. Wildcats forward Bruce Graham notched an assist in the loss and has collected three points (two goals, one assist) in the series thus far.

Rimouski leads series, 3-0
Lewiston's Jonathan Paiement posted a goal and three assists but the Rimouski Oceanic extended their remarkable unbeaten streak to 31 games in a 6-5 win, taking a 3-0 lead in their series. Paiement, who also added six penalty minutes to his sta line in the loss, has now registered four points and 20 PIMs in the three games. The two teams are back in action in Game Four of the series on Wednesday, April 13 in Lewiston.
