WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE:

Kootenay (Dawes) 3, Everett (Baranka) 2
Kootenay leads series, 3-0
Nigel Dawes and the Kootenay Ice could advance to the Western conference final with a win tonight as they visit the Everett Silvertips in game four of their Western conference semi-final series. The Ice managed a 3-2 overtime victory last night in Everett to grab a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series and need just one more victory to move on. Dawes, who was held scoreless in the first two games, collected three assists and second star of the game honors on the night. The Silvertips are down three games to none in the series and need to win the next four games if they want to advance. Everett defenseman Ivan Baranka collected an assist in the loss, and has posted two goals and an assist in the three games during the series.

ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE:

Sudbury 2, Ottawa (Petruzalek) 6,
Ottawa leads series, 2-1
In Ottawa, Jakub Petruzalek scored two goals, including the game-winner early in the second period to help the 67's to a 6-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves in the OHL Playoffs on Monday. The 67's took a 2-1 lead in the series with Game 4 on Wednesday in Ottawa. "It was a big win for us," said Petruzalek, who has three goals in the series. "After a slow start, we turned up our game and played as a team and won. If we want to go to the third round of the playoffs, we should to win our home games." The Ottawa rookie has now posted three goals and an assist in three games during the series. The two teams meet again in Game 4 on Wednesday, April 13 in Ottawa.

SWEDISH ELITE LEAGUE:

Färjestads BK 0, Frölunda HC 1 (OT)
Frölunda wins series, 4-1
Henrik Lundqvist turned aside all 25 shots he faced on Monday as Frölunda HC captured the 2004-05 Swedish Elite League championship with a 1-0 OT win over Färjestads BK in Game Five of their Finals series. As sharp as Lundqvist was during the regular season, he magnified his efforts during the post-season, leading all SEL goaltenders with a 1.06 goals against average, a .962 save percentage and six shutouts while posting a 12-2 mark in 14 games.
