Prospect Update: Another Shutout for Shesterkin

Gropp Notches Goal for Seattle

Rangers prospect Igor Shesterkin recorded his eighth shutout of the season for SKA of the Kontinental Hockey League.

The 2014 fourth-round pick turned aside all 25 shots he faced in a 9-0 win over Barys. Shesterkin is now 17-1-2 this season with a .949 SV% and a 1.32 GAA. He has won 11 straight games and has not lost a game in regulation since Sept. 9.

Over in the Western Hockey League, 2015 second-round pick Ryan Gropp scored a goal in Seattle's 5-2 win over Spokane Tuesday night. The winger has three goals and eight assists for 11 points in 12 games this season for the Thunderbirds, and is currently riding a nine-game point streak.
