Prospect Update: Gettinger Scores OT-Winner; Shesterkin Keeps Rolling

Forward Tim Gettinger scored the overtime-winner and added an assist as Sault Ste. Marie edged Sean Day and the Windsor Spitfires, 4-3, in the Ontario Hockey League. Gettinger is off to a strong start with the Greyhounds, notching four goals and four assists for eight points through six games. 

The contest was Day's first of the year, and he finished with one shot on goal.

Goaltender Igor Shesterkin made 25 saves in a 6-1 SKA victory over Salavat on Wednesday. The netminder leads the KHL in save percentage (.957%), goals against average (1.17), is second in shutouts with three and is undefeated in 13 starts.

Lias Andersson notched his first goal of the Champions Hockey League on Tuesday in his first game back with Frolunda after being loaned by the Rangers last week. The 2017 first-round pick has a goal and an assist in four games with Frolunda in the CHL.

Fellow 2017 pick Dominik Lakatos notched a power play goal and added an assist for Liberec in a 4-3 victory over HC Davos on Tuesday in the CHL. Lakatos has two goals and two assists for four points through four CHL games this season.
