Emerging from the Pack

Nicklas Jensen tallied his 22nd goal and 37th point of the season on Feb. 17 at Lehigh Valley, adding to his AHL career-high in goals and tying his AHL career-high in points. Jensen has recorded a point in 22 of his last 28 games in the AHL, registering 26 points (16 goals, 10 assists) over the span. He ranks fourth in the AHL in goals this season, and he leads Hartford in goals and points in 2016-17.

Marek Hrivik registered a goal/point in two of the Wolf Pack's three games last week. He has tallied 26 points (12 goals, 14 assists) in 32 AHL games this season, and he leads Hartford in points per game in 2016-17 (0.81).

Mat Bodie tallied an assist/point in two of three games last week. The Wolf Pack captain has recorded 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in the last eight games, as well as 14 points (two goals, 12 assists) in the last 13 contests. Bodie is tied for eighth among AHL defensemen in points this season (30). In addition, he leads the Wolf Pack in assists (22) and is tied for second in points in 2016-17.
Brandon Halverson made a season-high, 42 saves while helping the Wolf Pack earn a 3-2 win on Feb. 17 at Lehigh Valley. The Rangers' second round pick (59th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has earned a win in four of his last six appearances, and he has made at least 30 saves in three of those six contests.

Gabriel Fontaine, C, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL)- Fontaine registered his 20th goal of the 2016-17 season and posted a plus-two rating on Feb. 18 vs. Cape Breton. The Rangers' sixth round pick (171st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft tied his QMJHL career-high in goals, and he has recorded 20 goals in each of the last two seasons. Fontaine has tallied a point in seven of the last 11 games (two goals, five assists), as well as in 13 of the last 18 games (11 goals, eight assists). He has registered 44 points (20 goals, 24 assists) and a plus-17 rating in 49 QMJHL games this season (he recorded 20 goals and 25 assists for 45 points in 63 QMJHL contests in 2015-16).

Adam Huska, G, University of Connecticut Huskies (NCAA) - Huska made 30 saves on Feb. 17 vs. Northeastern. The Rangers' seventh round pick (184th overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft has made at least 30 saves in 12 of his 18 appearances this season, and he has posted a .920 SV% in 2016-17.

Ty Ronning, RW, Vancouver Giants (WHL) - Ronning registered two points (one goal, one assist) and posted a plus-one rating on Feb. 18 vs. Red Deer. The Rangers' seventh round pick (201st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has tallied a point in 12 of the last 23 games, recording 17 points (11 goals, six assists) over the span. He leads the Giants in goals (22) and points (45), and ranks third in assists (23) this season.

Igor Shesterkin, G, SKA St. Petersburg (KHL) - Shesterkin finished the KHL regular season with a 31-4-1 record, along with a 1.64 GAA, a .937 SV%, and 8 SO. The Rangers' fourth round pick (118th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tied for second in the KHL in SO, ranked third in the KHL in SV%, and ranked fourth in the league in GAA this season. SKA plays Vityaz Moscow in the Conference Quarterfinals, with Game 1 of the series scheduled for Feb. 21.

Tyler Wall, G, UMass Lowell River Hawks (NCAA) - Wall stopped 23 of 25 shots he faced to earn a win on Feb. 18 at UMass. The Rangers' sixth round pick (174th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft extended his winning streak to five games, and he has allowed two goals or fewer in each of his last four appearances. Wall has posted a 19-8-1 record, along with a 2.19 GAA, a .914 SV%, and 1 SO in 28 appearances this season.

Sergey Zborovskiy, D, Regina Pats (WHL) - Zborovskiy tallied an assist on Feb. 14 vs. Everett. The Rangers' third round pick (79th overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft recorded his 30th assist of the season, marking the first time he has tallied 30 assists in a season in his WHL career. Zborovskiy leads the WHL in plus/minus rating in 2016-17 (plus-59).
