Zdenek Bahensky (Saskatoon / WHL) ... Tallied a pair of goals, including the game-winner and an empty-net tally, in Saskatoon's 3-1 win over Kelowna on Saturday, October 23 in WHL action ... Was named the 2nd star of the game ... Recorded an assist in Saskatoon's 5-3 win over Kamloops on Friday, October 22 ... Ranks fourth on the team with six goals and is tied for fifth on the club with seven assists in 13 games ... Is tied for fourth on Saskatoon with 13 points and ranks fifth with a +9 rating ... Leads the club with two shorthanded goals.

Ryan Callahan (Guelph / OHL) ... Recorded an assist in Guelph's 4-2 loss to London on Sunday, October 24 in OHL action ... Netted two goals, including a power play tally and the game-winner, in Guelph's 4-1 win over Sudbury on Friday, October 22 ... Leads the team with 10 goals and 14 points in 13 games ... Marcus Jonasen (Tri-City / WHL) ... Tallied two goals to help lead Tri-City to a 6-4 win over Portland in WHL action on Saturday, October 23 ... Leads Tri-City with four goals and ranks third on the club with six points in 10 games ... Is the only player on the team have have registered both a power play goal and a shorthanded goal this season.

Jonathan Paiement (Lewiston / QMJHL) ... Collected a power play assist in Lewiston's 10-2 win over Rimouski on Friday, October 22 in QMJHL action ... Has tallied four goals and 19 assists for 23 points in 14 games with Lewiston ... Ranks first on the team and third in the league with 19 assists and is tied for first on the club and fifth in the QMJHL with 23 points ... Was named to the QMJHL All Star Team that will participate in this year's Canada/Russia Challenge in November.

Jakub Petruzalek (Ottawa / OHL) ... Registered a goal and was named the 2nd star of the game in Ottawa's 4-1 win over Plymouth on Sunday, October 24 in OHL play ... Tallied a pair of goals, including the game-winner, and collected an assist in Ottawa's 4-1 win over Barrie on Friday, October 22 ... Was named the 2nd star of the game ... Has posted four points (three goals, one assist) in the last two games ... Is tied for first on the team with seven goals and leads Ottawa with 12 assists and 19 points in 12 games ... Is tied for seventh in the OHL and is tied for first among OHL rookies with 19 points ... Is tied for third on the team with a +6 rating.

Roman Psurny (Medicine Hat / WHL) ... Tallied a goal in Medicine Hat's 3-1 win over Brandon on Saturday, October 23 in WHL action ... Collected a pair of assists in Medicine Hat's 5-0 win over Regina on Friday, October 22 ... Is tied for fourth on the team with four goals and seven assists and ranks fourth with 11 points in 12 games.

On the subject of Medicine Hat's impressive start to the 2004-05 season, Darren Steinke of the Medicine Hat News wrote on October 27 ... "The Canadian Hockey League should cancel the rest of the season and give the Medicine Hat Tigers the Memorial Cup now. The Medicine Hat WHL franchise has been nothing but impressive over the first 12 games of the regular season posting a 10-1-1 record. With the squad containing 13 returning players from last year's WHL championship team, it seems likely the Tigers should repeat as league champions this season, if they keep progressing off this impressive start.The line of Brett Robertson, import forward Roman Psurny and Tommy Maxwell has appeared to click instantly. All three have 10-or-more points on the campaign already."

Jordan Foote (Michigan Tech / WCHA) ... Tallied a power play goal in Michigan Tech's 7-3 loss to Wisconsin on Friday, October 22 ... Has registered one goal and one assist, along with four penalty minutes in four games this season.

Chris Holt (Univ. of Nebraska-Omaha / CCHA) ... Turned aside 16 of 19 shots in Nebraska-Omaha's 4-3 OT win over Western Michigan on Saturday, October 23 in CCHA action ... Stopped 35 of 38 shots as Nebraska-Omaha skated past Western Michigan, 7-3, on Friday, October 22 ... Has posted a 4-0-0 record, along with a 2.48 goals against average and a .895 save percentage in four games this season.
