Moncton 5, Gatineau 2 (QMJHL)

Bruce Graham (Moncton / QMJHL) ... Tallied a hat trick and was named the 1st star of the game on Thursday, October 21 as Moncton skated past Gatineau, 5-2 in QMJHL action ... The game marked the first time these clubs met since Gatineau downed Moncton, 4-1, in the league championship series in 2003-04 ... "That was really big coming into this building and getting a win. We knew they were going to play really intense, which they did. We matched their intensity and it does feel really good to get the win here because there was a lot of pride on the line for us tonight. We lost to them in the league final last season and we definitely talked a lot about that before the game tonight. We used that as an extra motivation, for sure. We remember seeing them lift the championship trophy here last season. All the returning guys were determined to win tonight and I think the rookies felt it from the first shift." - Graham on the importance of Moncton's 5-2 road win in Gatineau.
