ECHL
Johnstown 1, Charlotte 2 (OT)
The Charlotte Checkers won their sixth consecutive game with a 2-1 overtime win over the Johnstown Chiefs. Mike Wirll netted both goals for Charlotte, his 7th and 8th of the year, as the Checkers notched their 23rd win, tying them with Pensacola for the American Conference overall lead with 48 points.

The win concluded the Checkers perfect six-game homestand. They travel to division rivals Greenville (Friday) and Columbia (Saturday) this weekend. The Checkers return to Cricket Arena on Friday, January 28th against South Carolina.

ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE
Guelph (Callahan) 3, Windsor 2 (OT)
Guelph captain Ryan Callahan tallied a first period goal and collected an assist on Tyler Doig's game-winner in OT as the Storm skated to a 3-2 win over the host Windsor Spitfires in OHL play on Thursday. Callahan leads the club with 19 goals and 34 points in 37 games this season.

SWEDISH ELITE LEAGUE
Frolunda (Lundqvist) 4, HV-71 1
Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 37 of 38 shots as Frolunda rolled past HV-71, 4-1, in Swedish Elite League action on Thursday. With the win, Lundqvist took over the league's lead in goals against average (1.80) with his 17th one goal game this season. The netminder is now unbeaten (5-0-1) in his last 6 appearances for Frolunda.

FINNISH LEAGUE
Tappara 4, JYP (Immonen) 6
In Finnish League play on Thursday, Jarkko Immonen added a pair of assists as JYP rallied from a 3-1 defecit to defeat Tappara, 6-4. Immonen now ranks third in the Finnish League in both assists (23) and points (39). This game marked Immonen's second back-to-back multi-point game.
