MSG’s “Hockey Night Live!” will get an early start on the 2010-11 season with two specials dedicated to the Rangers over the next two Saturday nights and three weeks of preseason coverage, starting Sept. 18 on MSG and MSG Plus.

Dave Maloney will co-host Saturday's preseason special.
The two half-hour Rangers preseason specials will be hosted by Bill Pidto and former Rangers captain Dave Maloney, and will include appearances by two off-season additions to the Rangers, Martin Biron and Todd White, and two veteran players, Matt Gilroy and Michael Del Zotto.

Saturday's show will be telecast at 11 p.m., and Part 2 of the preview will air Sept. 11 at 9:30 p.m. Both shows will replay on MSG Plus on the day following their premieres.

The following week, on Sept. 18 after the opening of NHL training camps, “Hockey Night Live!” will begin three weeks of preseason specials at 9:30 p.m. on MSG and MSG Plus. The shows will be hosted by the “Hockey Night Live!” crew, featuring Al Trautwig, Dave Maloney, Ken Daneyko, Ron Duguay and Butch Goring. The hour-long shows will provide in-depth looks into offseason moves and 2010-11 previews of the Rangers, Islanders, Devils and Buffalo Sabres.

On Oct. 9 at 9:30 p.m., “Hockey Night Live!” returns for its third season of weekly comprehensive hockey coverage live on MSG and MSG Plus.

“Between MSG and MSG Plus, we televise more live hockey than anyone in America,” said Dan Ronayne, executive vice president and general manager, MSG Networks. “Our ‘Hockey Night Live!’ franchise has become must-see TV for hockey fans, providing the latest news from around the NHL as well as expert analysis, commentary and witty banter from our panel of former players.”
