Kreider_Pionk

Add another name to the list of Rangers taking part in next month's World Championship tournament in Denmark after defenseman Neal Pionk was named to Team USA's initial roster on Saturday afternoon.
He joins fellow Blueshirt Chris Kreider on the team that also features the likes of Chicago's Patrick Kane, Calgary's Johnny Gaudreau and the Islanders' Anders Lee.

This will mark the second time Pionk represents the United States at international competition after he helped the country win a gold medal at the 2013 World Junior A Challenge, where he posted two assists in four games.
Kreider, meanwhile, appeared in both the 2010 and 2011 World Junior Championships and World Championships when he was at Boston College. Kreider has 10 goals and three assists for 13 points in 13 career World Junior games, while he's recorded three goals and two assists in 13 World Championship games.
The tournament, which is expected to feature Mika Zibanejad (Sweden), Pavel Buchnevich (Russia) and potentially several more current and future Rangers, will begin May 4.
