Rangers, Garden of Dreams support Hockey Fight Cancer

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers
In support of the National Hockey League’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiative, the New York Rangers and the Garden of Dreams Foundation will be holding a Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night on Monday, November 4, 2013.

As a part of the Awareness Night, the Rangers and Garden of Dreams will be hosting children and families from partner organization NYU Hassenfeld for an unforgettable night at Madison Square Garden.

The children will have an opportunity to sit rink-side for warm-ups with MSG broadcasters before watching the Rangers take on the Anaheim Ducks from a luxury suite.  Special moments involving the ceremonial puck drop and Blue Crew membership will also be in store for some of these children.

In addition to meeting Rangers alumni and broadcasters, the group will enjoy the thrill of being welcomed on GardenVision during the game -- an experience that they will never forget.

Also as a part of the Awareness Night, Rangers players will be adding Hockey Fights Cancer decals on their helmets, along with pink chin straps. Additionally, to raise awareness for this important cause, Rangers hockey executives, coaching staff and MSG broadcasters will be wearing special Hockey Fights Cancer ties, which will be on sale at the Madison Square Garden Team Store with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Hockey Fights Cancer.
