Rangers Face Blues at Madison Square Garden

After an impressive win over the Tampa Bay Lightning Sunday night, the Rangers (6-3-0, 12 points) continue its three-game homestand against the St. Louis Blues Tuesday night.

Michael Grabner led the way Sunday evening with a hat trick, while his linemates Kevin Hayes added three assists and J.T. Miller chipped in with a goal and two assists himself, as the threesome combined for nine points on the night.
Rick Nash and Jimmy Vesey had goals of their own and Antti Raanta made 31 saves for his second win in as many starts this season.
The Blueshirts continue to get healthy as forward Chris Kreider will return to the lineup after missing four games with neck spasms. The winger was red hot before the injury, scoring three goals and four assists in five games. He'll be reunited with center Mika Zibanejad, as well as winger Mats Zuccarello.

With Kreider's return, Pavel Buchnevich will slide down to the fourth line with Brandon Pirri and Jesper Fast. Oscar Lindberg is expected to be the healthy scratch.

Henrik Lundqvist is also slated to start in goal for New York after getting the night off Sunday against the Lightning. Lundqvist was in goal earlier this year when the Blues defeated the Rangers, 3-2. For his career, Lundqvist is 3-5-0 with a 2.55 GAA and a .912 SV% against St. Louis. In his last four appearances against St. Louis, Lundqvist has posted a 3-1-0 record, along with a 2.26 GAA and a .920 SV%.
Despite the loss, the Rangers played one of its better games of the season, finishing with 35 shots on goal, as well as not allowing a shot against in the third period. Kreider and Zibanejad each scored in the loss.
The Blues (5-2-2, 12 points) are coming off a 1-0 win over the Los Angeles Kings Saturday night in St. Louis, which was proceeded by a pair of losses against Calgary and Detroit.
Forward Vladimir Tarasenko is leading the way offensively for the Blues with four goals and nine points in nine games, followed by Paul Stastny and Alexander Steen with seven points each.
New York-native Kevin Shattenkirk - who has six points in nine games - and captain Alex Pietrangelo are the anchors on the blueline for St. Louis. Goaltender Jake Allen - who did not start against the Rangers last month - is 4-1-2 in seven starts in his first season as the Blues' No. 1 netminder. Backup Carter Hutton is 1-1, with his only win coming over the Rangers.
