Rangers Downed by Senators in Ottawa

Goals from Michael Grabner and Pavel Buchnevich were not enough for the Rangers, who were topped by the Senators, 3-2, in Ottawa Wednesday night.
Zack Smith's goals eight seconds into the game gave Ottawa a 3-1 advantage and one they did not surrender despite Buchnevich's goal 4:32 later.

Ottawa jumped out to the 1-0 lead 4:01 into the game when Bobby Ryan's wrist shot beat Henrik Lundqvist.
Grabner's team-leading 15th of the season evened the score 3:57 into the second. Mats Zuccarello threaded a pass to Grabner, who beat a Senators defenseman to the net for the tally.
Ottawa regained the lead on a goal by Cody Ceci with 4:52 left in the middle period before Smith's game-winner in the opening seconds of the third.
Buchnevich's goal gave New York life after burying a feed from Chris Kreider, who registered his 200th NHL assist with the primary helper.
Lundqvist finished the game with 27 saves, including his 20,000th career stop early in the first period.
