The Charlotte Checkers, the Rangers' East Coast Hockey League affiliate, defeated Pensacola 5-2 on the road on Monday, and two Rangers prospects were the key to victory. Leading the way on offense was 2004 draftee Bruce Graham, the game's No. 2 star, who scored two goals and now has five in five games. His first tally came at 11:15 of the opening period, giving the Checkers a 2-0 lead. Graham added his second goal on a power play at 14:01 of the second period to make it 4-1. Goaltender Chris Holt, a 2003 Rangers draft pick, was spectacular -- making 44 saves for the victory. Holt, the game's No. 1 star, also had the primary assist on Dusty Jamieson's shorthanded goal in the first period, which stood up as the game-winner. Charlotte's record this season is now 4-1-0.
