The Charlotte Checkers, the Rangers' East Coast Hockey League affiliate, lost for the first time this season on Thursday night, falling 4-1 to Florida on the road. Blake Bellefeuille scored the Checkers' lone goal on a power play in the first period, giving Charlotte a 1-0 lead. Corey Potter and Dusty Jamieson assisted on the goal.
