Two Rangers prospects competed in postseason games in the OHL and WHL on Wednesday. Here is a summary of their performances:


StaalMarc Staal

Staal's Playoff Scoring to Date: 19 games, 5 goals, 15 assists, 18 PIM
May 9: Plymouth 3, Sudbury 1 (at Sudbury) (Series tied 2-2)

Staal, the Sudbury captain, did not score any points or take any penalties as the Wolves fell at home. The game had been tied 1-1 after one period, but Plymouth scored in both the second and the third to knot the series at two games apiece.

Position/Team: Defense/Medicine Hat Tigers
League: WHL -- Playoffs
Sauer's Regular-Season Scoring: 65 games, 5 goals, 18 assists, 75 PIM
Sauer's Playoff Scoring to Date: 20 games, 1 goal, 5 assists, 25 PIM
May 9: Vancouver 4, Medicine Hat 0 (at Vancouver) (Series tied 2-2)

Sauer did not take any penalties in the Tigers' road loss, which evened the series. All four Vancouver goals were scored in the final period.
