The Hartford Wolf Pack, the Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, beat the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 5-2 on Friday night in Bridgeport, Conn., to complete a home-and-home series sweep. Nigel Dawes, the game's No. 1 star, led the way for the Pack with a hat trick and one assist, while linemate Alex Bourret, the No. 2 star, had four assists. Dawes got the Wolf Pack on the board first on a power-play six minutes into the opening period, with Bourret and Dwight Helminen, the No. 3 star, picking up the assists. Dawes scored his second goal of the game just under seven minutes later, converting an assist from Bourret to make it 2-0 at 12:57. With 1:11 left in the second period, Dawes completed his hat trick to put Hartford up 3-1. Bourret picked up his third assist on the goal, and Bryce Lampman had the other assist. Only 15 seconds after Dawes' third goal, Dane Byers stretched the Hartford lead to 4-1, also scoring on a power play from Lauri Korpikoski and Brandon Dubinsky. At 4:24 of the third period, Jarkko Immonen picked up the final Pack goal, making it 5-1 off assists from Bourret and Dawes. Goaltender Chris Holt made 28 saves for the win, and was at his best with 10 saves in the final period. The Pack outshot Bridgeport 43-30. With the victory, Hartford improved to 43-26-3 on the season, having gone a remarkable 38-15-2 over the past 55 games to move into second place in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division, four points behind division-leading Manchester. With his team facing playoff elimination, Pyatt rose to the occasion, erupting for two goals and two assists to earn No. 2 star honors in leading Saginaw to a runaway win at home. He began his scoring outburst with the primary assist on the game's first goal, scored by Jack Combs at 3:40 of the opening period. He later delivered his first goal of the playoffs on a power-play with one minute left in the first, stretching the Saginaw lead to 4-0. He picked up his second goal at 13:56 of the third period to make it 6-0 and finished the night with an assist on Combs' goal at 17:00 of the third. In addition to his four points, Pyatt posted a game-high plus-3 rating.

Sauer did not score any points and took one minor penalty in the Tigers' shutout win, which pushed Medicine Hat into the series' driver's seat. Sauer finished the game with a plus-1 rating.

Hillier had the primary assist on Peter-James Corsi's goal at 5:21 of the third period, cutting Moncton's lead to 4-2. He also led the Mooseheads with five shots on goal. The series will go to a decisive Game 7 on Tuesday night at Moncton.
