Rangers Daily Prospect Update: March 20, 2007

The Charlotte Checkers, the Rangers' East Coast Hockey League affiliate, shut out the Pensacola Ice Pilots 3-0 on Tuesday night in Pensacola, Fla. Goaltender Alex Westlund, who attended the Rangers' 2006 training camp before signing with Hartford last fall, made 25 saves to earn No. 1 star honors. Rangers prospect Bruce Graham, the Checkers' top goal-scorer, did not have any points but finished the night with a plus-1 rating. Charlotte is now 35-24-3 and tied for fifth place in the American Conference's South Division. For more information, visit the Checkers' official site.
