Rangers Daily Prospect Update: March 14, 2007

Three Rangers prospects competed in regular-season games in the WHL and Europe on Wednesday. Here is a summary of their performances:


AnisimovArtem Anisimov

Anisimov's Scoring to Date: 42 games, 4 goals, 10 assists, 30 PIM
March 14: Yaroslavl 4, Moscow Dynamo 2 (at Moscow)

Coming off the first two-goal game of his Superleague career, Anisimov had another multipoint effort, picking up two assists as Yaroslavl swept its home-and-home series with Dynamo. Anisimov had the primary assist on Igor Ulanov's goal at 11:53 of the opening period, giving Yaroslavl a 2-1 lead. He followed that up with the lone assist on Alexei Kudashov's goal at 4:58 of the second period, making it 3-1. Anisimov also took one minor penalty in the third period.

HunterEric Hunter
Position: Left Wing
Team: Prince George Cougars
League: WHL
Hunter's Scoring to Date: 67 games, 24 goals, 31 assists, 137 PIM
March 14: Prince George 3, Everett 1 (at Everett)

Hunter had the second assist on Greg Gardner's game-winning goal at 0:23 of the second period, which gave the Cougars a 2-0 lead at the time. He finished the game with a plus-2 rating.

ZeliskaLukas Zeliska

Team: Prince Albert Raiders

Zeliska's Scoring to Date: 59 games, 4 goals, 23 assists, 66 PIM
March 14: Regina 2, Prince Albert 1 (at Prince Albert)

Zeliska did not score any points or take any penalties as the Raiders fell to the Pats on a goal with 1:15 remaining in the third period.

Dupont, who suffered an unspecified injury one night earlier, was not in the lineup for the Hitmen on Wednesday.

KoverkoTrevor Koverko

Koverko was not in the lineup for Oshawa in its rout of St. Mike's.
