The Charlotte Checkers, the Rangers' East Coast Hockey League affiliate, defeated the South Carolina Stingrays 3-2 on Thursday night in Charlotte, N.C. Rangers prospects had a big hand in the victory. A goal by Hugh Jessiman at 15:21 of the second period gave the Checkers a 2-1 lead they would never relinquish. The goal was Jessiman's ninth in only 15 ECHL games. Jessiman was named the game's No. 3 star, and Rangers goaltending prospect Chris Holt was also outstanding, making 20 saves for the win. Charlotte is now 25-16-3 and in sole possession of third place in the American Conference's South Division. For more information, visit the Checkers' official site.
