The Hartford Wolf Pack, the Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, fell to the Lowell Devils 2-1 on Wednesday night at the Hartford Civic Center, snapping their six-game winning streak. Hugh Jessiman, the game's No. 3 star, scored the lone Hartford goal off assists from Ivan Baranka and Dwight Helminen at 5:55 of the second period. That goal closed out the scoring after the Devils had gone up 2-0 on a pair of early second-period goals. Jessiman's goal came only nine seconds after Lowell's Ryan Murphy made it 2-0. Jessiman has now scored in each of the last three games. Wednesday night also marked the Wolf Pack debut of forward Alex Bourret, obtained by the Rangers in a trade on Tuesday. Hartford is now 34-21-3 on the season and has gone a remarkable 29-10-2 over the past 41 games to take over second place in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division.
