Rangers Daily Prospect Update: Feb. 22, 2007

The Charlotte Checkers, the Rangers' East Coast Hockey League affiliate, fell to the Toledo Storm at home on Thursday night. Rangers prospect Bruce Graham helped get the Checkers on the board first with the second assist on Daymen Rycroft's goal at 10:07 of the opening period. Charlotte would later take a 2-1 lead late in the first period, but Toledo scored three goals in the second period to break open the game. Rangers goaltending prospect Chris Holt made 24 saves in defeat, and the Checkers outshot the Storm 31-29 despite playing without Hugh Jessiman, who was recalled to Hartford of the AHL on Wednesday. Coming off a three-assist night on Wednesday, Sanguinetti added another assist as the Attack completed a back-to-back sweep of the Colts. He picked up the primary assist on Trevor Lewis' goal at 19:14 of the second period, stretching Owen Sound's lead to 4-2.

Flatt did not score any points and took one minor penalty in the second period of Brampton's road win.
