Rangers Daily Prospect Update: Feb. 20, 2007

Three Rangers prospects competed in regular-season games in the WHL and Europe on Tuesday. Here is a summary of their performances:


DupontBrodie Dupont
Position: Center
Team: Calgary Hitmen
League: WHL
Dupont's Scoring to Date: 62 games, 34 goals, 33 assists, 101 PIM
Feb. 20: Calgary 6, Saskatoon 2 (at Saskatoon)

Dupont had two points as the Hitmen rebounded from a 2-0 second-period deficit with six unanswered goals. He notched his 34th goal of the season just 22 seconds into the third period, giving the Hitmen a 4-2 lead. He later had the second assist on Keegan Dansereau's goal that closed out the scoring at 17:12 of the third. Dupont also took a minor penalty in the first period and finished the game with a plus-2 rating.

HunterEric Hunter
Position: Left Wing
Team: Prince George Cougars
League: WHL
Hunter's Scoring to Date: 59 games, 20 goals, 24 assists, 116 PIM
Feb. 20: Everett 4, Prince George 3 (OT) (at Everett)

Hunter scored his 20th goal of the season at 1:16 of the second period, pulling the Cougars into a 1-1 tie.

PsurnyRoman Psurny
Position: Left Wing
Team: HC Hame Zlin
League: Czech Extraliga
Psurny's Scoring to Date: 45 games, 4 goals, 2 assists, 20 PIM
Feb. 20: Zlin 4, Vsetin 1 (at Zlin)

Psurny was not in the lineup as Zlin won its regular-season finale and finished fifth overall in the standings to earn an automatic berth in the Extraliga quarterfinals.
