Rangers Daily Prospect Update: Dec. 21, 2006

The Charlotte Checkers, the Rangers' East Coast Hockey League affiliate, fell to the Reading Royals 3-0 on Thursday night at home. Rangers prospect Zdenek Bahensky led the Checkers with three shots on goal, but Charlotte could not put the puck past Jeff Pietrasiak, who had 18 saves for Reading. The Checkers are now 15-11-1 and remain in fourth place in the American Conference's South Division, just five points behind division-leading Texas.
