The Hartford Wolf Pack, the Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, defeated the Philadelphia Phantoms 3-2 on Wednesday night at the Hartford Civic Center. The Wolf Pack came back from a 2-0 deficit in the second period with three unanswered goals to earn their sixth win in seven games. The game also marked the return to action of Rangers forward Jed Ortmeyer, who has been assigned to Hartford as part of his comeback from a pulmonary embolism suffered last summer. Ortmeyer had a hand in the victory, getting the second assist on Brandon Dubinsky's goal at 16:50 of the second period, which began the big comeback. Hugh Jessiman also assisted on Dubinsky's goal, the 20-year-old center's fifth tally of the season. Dubinsky, the game's No. 3 star, picked up his second point of the night at 3:13 of the third period, getting the second assist on Dane Byers' goal, which tied the game at 2-2. Ryan Callahan had the other assist on Byers' third goal of the season. Callahan, the game's No. 1 star, later won the game by scoring his team-leading 18th goal of the season with only 27 seconds left in regulation. Goaltender Stephen Valiquette made 23 saves to earn the victory for the Pack. Callahan's goal moved him into a tie for fifth in the AHL, and he is now second among rookies. In addition to his assist, Ortmeyer finished the game with three shots on goal. Hartford improved to 11-12-1 on the season. For more information, visit the Wolf Pack's official site.

In addition, six Rangers prospects competed in a regular-season games in the QMJHL, OHL, WHL and Europe on Wednesday. Here is a summary of their performances:

Dec. 13: Acadie-Bathurst 7, Halifax 3 (at Acadie-Bathurst)

Despite Halifax's loss, it was a big night for Hillier, who had two goals and an assist for the Mooseheads. He first goal was unassisted at 16:04 of the opening period, cutting Acadie-Bathurst's lead to 3-1. He followed that up with another goal just over two minutes later, bringing the Mooseheads within one goal. Hillier finished his evening with the second assist on Bryce Swan's power-play goal at 7:51 of the third period. He also took a minor penalty in the second period and tied for the team lead with five shots on goal.

Dupont's Scoring to Date: 35 games, 19 goals, 20 assists, 75 PIM
Dec. 13: Chilliwack 3, Calgary 2 (SO) (at Calgary)

Dupont scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season for the Hitmen, tying the game at 9:45 of the third period. His goal forced overtime, but Dupont did not participate in the shootout. With 19 goals, Dupont is now tied for ninth in the WHL.

Zeliska's Scoring to Date: 31 games, 3 goals, 19 assists, 40 PIM
Dec. 13: Prince Albert 3, Brandon 1 (at Prince Albert)

Zeliska had the second assist on the game-winning goal, scored by Ryan DePape at 1:48 of the second period. The goal put the Raiders up 2-1, and Prince Albert added a goal early in the third. Zeliska finished the game with a plus-1 rating.
