Rangers Claim Forward Andreas Johansson in NHL Waiver Draft

New York Rangers President and General Manager, Glen Sather, announced today that the club has claimed forward Andreas Johansson from the Calgary Flames today in the NHL Waiver Draft. Johansson will play this season with SC Bern in the Swiss National League.
The Hofors, Sweden native has spent time with New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, Ottawa Senators and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Johansson has played 204 NHL games in his career, tallying 35 goals and 46 assists for 81 points. He enjoyed his most productive NHL season in 1998-99 when he tallied 21 goals and 16 assists for 37 points with the Senators.
