On Monday June 25th, the Rangers and Coca-Cola came together for their 11th Annual Rangers-Coke Zero Golf Outing. The Coke Zero golf outing pairs Rangers alumni and celebrities with key customers of Coca-Cola account managers/executives for a day of golf. The outing featured President and GM Glen Sather, Assistant General Managers Jim Schoenfeld and Jeff Gorton, 18 Rangers alumni, Knicks alumni, John Starks and John Wallace and Liberty Head Coach Bill Laimbeer. This much anticipated annual event was a great day for golf and a celebration of another year of Coca-Cola and New York Rangers Hockey.
Guests arrived at Trump National Golf Course in Briarcliff Manor for registration, brunch and some warming up on the driving range and practice greens. Before teeing off, everyone was welcomed by Rangers alumnus Rod Gilbert, who thanked Coca-Cola for their decades of support and wished everyone the best of luck in the tournament. The fun day on the links also featured closest to the pin, longest drive, beat the pro and putting challenge contests, giving participants a chance to win a wide variety of prizes.
Following golf, the guests joined at the clubhouse for a cocktail hour presented by Fuse and a dinner reception which awarded the prizes for best foursome and the winners of our skills competitions. Rangers alumni who golfed included Jeff Beukeboom, Dan Blackburn, Andre Dore, Ron Duguay, Nick Fotiu, Mike Gartner, Rod Gilbert, Ron Greschner, Ed Hospodar, Chris Kotsopoulos, Stephane Matteau, Brian Mullen, Bob Nevin, Darren Turcotte, Steve Vickers, Gilles Villemure and Jay Wells.
The Rangers look forward to continuing their long standing partnership with Coca-Cola during the 2013-14 season and coming together for the 12th Annual Rangers-Coke Zero Golf Outing in 2014.
