On Monday April 29th, the New York Rangers launched the Beard-A-Thon in conjunction with hockey’s tradition of the playoff beard with a final shave event. Rangers alumni Glenn Anderson and Rod Gilbert were on hand at Madison Square Garden with five local barbers providing free shaves to Beard-A-Thon participants.

Rangers fans who signed up previously or on-site at the event were able to get their free shave and an autograph from a couple of their Rangers heroes.
The Rangers Beard-A-Thon is a fundraiser for the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Fans are able to sign up for a profile on the Beard-A-Thon website and take pledges for the Foundation as they grow their playoff beard. Fans are encouraged to update their profile with updated photos of their beard growth and the three biggest fundraisers will win Rangers prizes for their commitment and support of Garden of Dreams.
