Rangers Assign Michal Grosek to Hartford (AHL)

President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that left wing Michal Grosek has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Grosek, 26, has tallied one goal and one assist in five matches this season with New York. He has appeared in 420 career NHL games, registering 77 goals and 116 assists for 193 points. In 70 contests with the Rangers, the winger has collected 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points.

The native of Vyskov, Czech Republic was originally Winnipeg's sixth round draft choice, 145th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Rangers from the Chicago Blackhawks on October 5, 2000 along with Brad Brown, in exchange for future considerations.
