New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has assigned goaltender Louis Domingue to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Domingue appeared in two games for the Blueshirts in the preseason, allowing three goals on 32 shots in 60:32 of play. In two games, he posted a 2.97 goals-against average and .906 save percentage. The 30-year-old goaltender has appeared in 142 career NHL games (126 starts), split between the Pittsburgh Penguins (2021-22), Calgary Flames (2020-21), Vancouver Canucks (2019-20), New Jersey Devils (2019-20), Tampa Bay Lightning (2017-18 - 2018-19) and Arizona Coyotes (2014-15 - 2016-17). He spent last season with the Penguins, starting in two regular season games with the main club. With the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL, Domingue made 22 appearances in 2021-22, posting a 2.41 goals-against average and .924 save percentage.
