New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has assigned forward Jonny Brodzinski to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Brodzinski skated in two preseason games for the Blueshirts, registering six shots on goal. With New York last season, he tallied one goal and one assist for two points and a plus-1 rating in 22 regular season games. The Ham Lake, Minnesota native played in one playoff game for the Rangers, Game 4 of the First Round series against Pittsburgh. In Hartford last season, Brodzinski notched 39 points (18G-21A) in 36 games as captain of the team, ranking tied for second on the team in goals and tied for third on the team in points.
The Rangers now have 26 players remaining in Training Camp ahead of their preseason finale tomorrow, October 8 against the Islanders. The roster breakdown is listed below:
