Tickets for all pre-season games at The Garden will go on sale Monday, Aug. 21, at noon ET.
The Rangers' exhibition schedule consists of three home-and-home series versus old-time rivals the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Boston Bruins. The team will open the pre-season in New Jersey on Tuesday, September 19 facing off against the Devils. New York's pre-season home opener kicks off at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, September 20 against the Devils.
The Rangers will then travel to San Juan, for Puerto Rico's inaugural NHL match-up, to face the Florida Panthers at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum on Saturday, September 23. The Blueshirts will then head back to The Garden to face the Islanders on Monday, September 25. The Rangers will host the Boston Bruins in their final home pre-season game on Wednesday, September 27 before wrapping up the pre-season schedule at Nassau Coliseum versus the Islanders on September 29 and concluding at Boston to face the Bruins on September 30.
The 2006 New York Rangers training camp begins with players reporting to New York by midnight, Wednesday, September 13. All players will go through physical testing at the Madison Square Garden Training Facility on Thursday, September 14.
Tickets for home pre-season games will be available at the Madison Square Garden box office and newyorkrangers.com. Box office hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday.
