On Tuesday, October 21, the New York Rangers and the Garden of Dreams Foundation teamed up with Gray Line Bus Tours and John's Pizzeria of Times Square to provide 20 children from Harlem Dowling with an experience of a lifetime.

Scott Gomez and Aaron Voros are among the top five point-getters for the New York Rangers this season.
The children were joined by Rangers forwards Scott Gomez and Aaron Voros for a Gray Line double-decker bus tour of New York City and a pizza making party afterwards at John's Pizzeria on 44th Street.

To kick off the event, Gomez and Voros boarded the tour bus outside of Madison Square Garden and joined the children on the top level of the bus. After an enthusiastic "Let's go Rangers" chant and a few quick photos, the group traveled through midtown Manhattan and learned about famous NYC landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center and Times Square.

Voros, who was signed as a free agent on July 1, enjoyed his first experience working with the Garden of Dreams Foundation. "It was great to be out in the community with some of New York City's finest kids," he said. "Hopefully we can cook up some good pizza!"

Following the tour, the bus dropped everyone off at John's Pizzeria for a lesson on how to make New York-style pizza. Gomez and Voros led a group of kids to the oven stations upstairs where they assisted in preparing the dough, spreading the sauce and sprinkling the cheese on the pies. After cooking the pizza in the brick oven, the players sat down with the children and enjoyed their creations.

Gomez was happy to give back to the community and help out off the ice. "It was cool to see the city with all of the kids from Harlem Dowling and to check out the well known John's Pizzeria as well," he said after spinning the pizza dough and tossing it in the air. "I hope the kids had as much fun as I did."
