Rangers and Family Dynamics Team Up to Co-host "Meet the Rangers Night"

The New York Rangers, on behalf of their NYR SKATE community program, will team up with Family Dynamics to co-host the annual "Meet the Rangers Night" at Dezerland on Wednesday, February 23. The event, which Rangers assistant captain Adam Graves chairs, is slated to begin at 5:30 PM.

A buffet-style dinner and carnival-like atmosphere will carry the event. A variety of activities are planned for the evening, including group discussion sessions with the Rangers, fun-filled, interactive games, autographs and a live memorabilia auction featuring many exciting sports items.

Family Dynamics is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect. Family Dynamics provides a wide range of family supports and youth development services through Family Support Centers in Bedford Stuyvesant and Buschwick in Brooklyn, in lower Manhattan and other satellite programs. Services include family counseling, parenting development classes, advocacy and referral services, a 24-hour crisis hotline, home visits, case management, academic enrichment, youth development, early childhood education, tutoring/mentoring for homeless youth and public education.

NYR SKATE was established in January 1998, as a division of the Madison Square Garden Cheering for Children Foundation, designed to enrich the lives of children in the tri-state area. Through monies raised this season from fundraising programs including in-game silent auctions and raffles, GardenVision sweet spot messages, outer mall activities and special events including Draft Day '98 and '99 and SuperSkate '99 and 2000, the Rangers will provide financial assistance to a variety of children's charities.
