Rangers Agree to Terms With Rumun Ndur

Rangers President and General Manager Neil Smith announced today that the team has agreed to terms with free agent defenseman Rumun Ndur. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ndur is expected to report to Hartford of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Tuesday.

The 6-2, 200-pound defenseman tallied one goal and three assists for four points, along with 46 penalty minutes in 31 contests with New York during the 1998-99 campaign. Ndur also collected one assist in six AHL games with Hartford last season. The native of St. Thomas, Ontario has notched one goal and three assists for four points, along with 66 penalty minutes in 42 career NHL matches with New York and Buffalo. The Rangers claimed Ndur on waivers from the Buffalo Sabres on December 18, 1998.
