New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has re-signed left wing Ronald Petrovicky. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Petrovicky, 26, appeared in 66 games with the Rangers last season, registering five goals and nine assists for 14 points, along with 77 penalty minutes. He established new career-highs with nine assists and 14 points, while matching his career-best with five goals. His 77 penalty minutes also ranked sixth on the team. He came to New York on October 4, 2002 from the Calgary Flames, after being selected in the NHL Waiver Draft.
The 5-11, 190-pounder has skated in 173 career games with the Rangers and Calgary, registering 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points, along with 216 penalty minutes.
The Zilina, Slovakia native was originally selected by Calgary in the ninth round, 228th overall, of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.
