Rangers Agree To Terms With Paul Healey

New York Rangers President, General Manager and Head Coach Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with free agent right wing Paul Healey. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Healey, 28, appeared in 44 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, registering three goals and seven assists for 10 points, along with 16 penalty minutes. He also skated in 17 matches with the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League (AHL), recording six goals and 10 assists for 16 points, along with 12 penalty minutes. During the Stanley Cup playoffs, he appeared in four matches with Toronto, collecting one assist and two penalty minutes.

The 6-2, 198-pounder has skated in 71 career games with Toronto and the Philadelphia Flyers, registering six goals and 14 assists for 20 points, along with 30 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 22 career post-season contests with the Maple Leafs, recording two assists, along with four penalty minutes.

In the AHL, Healey has appeared in 421 career matches with St. John's, the Hershey Bears, Philadelphia Phantoms and Hamilton Bulldogs, registering 160 goals and 143 assists for 303 points, along with 254 penalty minutes.
The Edmonton, Alberta native was originally selected by Philadelphia in the seventh round, 192nd overall, of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.
