Rangers Acquire Right Wing Rob DiMaio from Boston In Exchange for Mike Knuble

Rangers President and General Manager Neil Smith announced today that the team has acquired right wing Rob DiMaio from the Boston Bruins in exchange for right wing Mike Knuble.

DiMaio, 32, has tallied five goals and 16 assists for 21 points, along with 42 penalty minutes in 50 games with Boston this season. He has spent the last four seasons with the Bruins, collecting 35 goals and 62 assists for 97 points, along with 301 penalty minutes since 1996-97.

The 5-10, 190-pound right wing has tallied 70 goals and 107 assists for 177 points, along with 595 penalty minutes in 548 career NHL matches with Boston, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and the Islanders. He has registered 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 37 career NHL playoff contests.

The native of Calgary, Alberta was selected by the Islanders in the sixth round, 118th overall, in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
