Prospect Update: Nieves Notches Two for Pack

Newly signed Rangers prospect Cristoval 'Boo' Nieves picked up a pair of goals and added an assist in the Wolf Pack's 7-3 victory over Springfield Friday night.

The 2012 second-round pick now has three goals and two assists for five points in three games.

Calle Andersson and Jayson Megna had goals while Chris Brown, Mat Bodie, Ryan Graves and Tommy Hughes had assists. Goaltender Magnus Hellberg made 33 saves to pick up his 29th win of the season.

In the Ontario Hockey League, Ryan Mantha notched his second goal of the postseason in Niagara's 6-5 Game 2 victory over Kingston. The 2014 fourth-rounder has two goals and two assists for four points in seven games. Niagara leads the series, 2-0.

Goaltender Brandon Halverson made 32 saves for Sault Ste. Marie in the Greyhounds' 3-2 overtime loss to the Erie Otters in Game 1.
