Prospect Update: Chytil With Goal, Two Assists for Wolf Pack

Plus updates on Greenville, Ronning, Virta and More

Rangers 2017 first-round pick Filip Chytil had the game-winning goal and added a pair of assists for the Hartford Wolfpack Saturday in a 4-3 win over Springfield.

Vinni Lettieri picked up his first career American Hockey League goal on assists from Chytil and Alexei Bereglazov in the first period. Boo Nieves scored his second of the season and John Gilmour added his first. Chytil's game-winner came 9:41 into the third off an assist from Lettieri.

Chris Nell made 33 saves to improve to 3-0-0 on the early season.

Malte Stromwall scored and added an assist while Sergey Zborovskiy also scored for Greenville in a 7-6 overtime loss to Wheeling in the ECHL. Adam Chapie had three assists and Brandon Halverson made 38 saves in a relief effort in the overtime defeat.

Ty Ronning picked up an assist in Vancouver's 4-3 overtime loss to Moose Jaw in the Western Hockey League. Ronning has four goals, three assists and 42 shots on goal through eight games with the Giants.

Patrik Virta had an assist for TPS, who lost to HIFK in Finland's Liiga on Saturday. He has two goals and seven assists for nine points through 13 games.

Center Morgan Barron had a pair of assists for Cornell University, who toped Guelph in an exhibition game on Saturday night.
