The Rangers will face-off against the Washington Capitals today at Madison Square Garden (12:30 p.m.), to conclude a back-to-back weekend set. The Blueshirts currently sit atop the Eastern Conference standings, and rank second in the league overall, with a record of 35-13-5 (75 pts). The Rangers enter the contest having defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, 5-2, on Saturday at Wells Fargo Center for their sixth win in eight games, and are now 18-5-1 in their last 24 contests. New York has posted a record of 32-10-3 since Oct. 29, after beginning the season with a 3-3-2 mark. The Capitals enter the contest with a 28-21-5 (61 pts) record to rank ninth in the Eastern Conference, and have lost seven of their last 11 games. Following today's contest, the Rangers will face-off against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at TD Garden (7:00 p.m.), in their third game in four days.
