The Rangers will begin their 2011-12 regular season today against the Los Angeles Kings at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden (1:00 p.m. EST), as part of the 2011 Compuware NHL Premiere. This will be the fourth consecutive year the Blueshirts have started the season on the road, and the second time New York has begun the season in Europe. Today's game is the first of two contests in Stockholm for the Rangers, who will face-off against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday, October 8 (1:00 p.m. EST). In seven preseason contests, New York posted a record of 4-2-1 (9 pts), including a 3-1-0 (6 pts) mark against European clubs.
