THE MATCHUP
The Rangers play their 46th game of the 2018-19 season Tuesday, Jan. 15, against the Carolina Hurricanes in a Metropolitan Division matchup at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m. ET - TV: MSG Network, Radio: ESPN 98.7 FM). Tuesday's game is the fourth of four consecutive contests the Blueshirts are playing against Metropolitan Division opponents. The New York Rangers will host Pride Night during the game.
This special evening, which is in conjunction with the National Hockey League's "Hockey is For Everyone" campaign, celebrates and highlights the Rangers' and the NHL's continued efforts to increase diversity and inclusion throughout hockey, from the youth level to the professional level. All Rangers players will use pride tape on their sticks during pre-game warmups. The sticks used by Rangers players during warmups will be available to purchase, via Steiner Sports, beginning on Wednesday, January 16 at 9:00 a.m., with proceeds benefitting You Can Play Project. You Can Play Project, which is an NHL partner, works to ensure the safety and inclusion of all people in sports, including LGBTQ athletes, coaches, and fans. Rangers coaches, front office staff, and alumni, as well as MSG Network broadcasters will wear You Can Play pins throughout tomorrow night's game.

KING HENRIK
Henrik Lundqvist was selected to participate in the 2019 NHL All-Star Game. Lundqvist has been selected to play in the NHL All-Star Game for the fifth time in his career (2009, 2011, 2012, 2018, 2019). He has made at least 30 saves in 18 of 32 appearances this season, and he has also posted a .900 SV% or better in 22 of his 32 appearances.
WELCOME MATS
Mats Zuccarello has recorded three goals/points in the last two games and registered two goals on Jan. 13 at Columbus. He has tallied 224 assists in his NHL career, and he is one assist away from tying Anders Hedberg for the most assists by a Ranger who was born and trained outside of North America in franchise history.

REMEMBERING 1993-94
In his first game against his former team after spending 13 seasons with the Blackhawks, Steve Larmer tallied a penalty shot goal to help the Rangers defeat Chicago, 5-1, on January 16, 1994 in Chicago.
RANGERS VS. WHALERS - 1993-94
The Rangers posted a 3-1-0 record in four games against the Hartford Whalers during the 1993-94 season and outscored Hartford, 15-7, in the four contests. Mark Messier (two goals, four assists) and Sergei Zubov (one goal, five assists) tied for the team lead with six points in the season series, while Mike Richter posted a 3-1-0 record, along with a 1.50 GAA, a .942 SV%, and 1 SO. The Rangers acquired Steve Larmer and Nick Kypreos in a trade with Hartford on November 2, 1993.
